Bois
(Short Film)

Synopsis

A group of friends embark on an adventurous hike after a J’ouvert event, but their disregard for the forest awakens something ancient they didn’t anticipate, leading to a harrowing battle of survival against supernatural forces that demand respect for the land.

Bois is the first full narrative short film Jerel has made. While his earlier works (Siren and Proximity) operated as short film–style music videos, Bois marked a shift toward sustained storytelling, anchored in folklore, heritage, and the lived backdrop of Carnival culture in Trinidad and Tobago.
